The Kuwait economy’s heavy reliance on the oil industry can make it vulnerable to fluctuations in global oil prices. Companies must therefore strive to differentiate themselves by focusing on areas where they have a competitive advantage and by building strong relationships with local partners and suppliers. The Kuwait government is now actively promoting investment and entrepreneurship in the country through the establishment of free zones, economic cities and programmes to support start-ups and SMEs.

By being part of an audit firm you reap the maximum benefits of your qualification

My biggest achievement is something that I do every day: meeting deadlines and expectations. This gives me a sense of accomplishment and achievement.

If I wasn’t an accountant, I would have taken up teaching. The passion to teach is something I developed during my ACCA studies, when I used to help my fellow students with topics they struggled with.

When not working, I enjoy reading, both fiction and non-fiction. I also like researching current affairs and spending time with friends and family. And I nurture my inner geek by learning about the new developments in AI, technology – and video gaming.
