In my role at BPP, I advise professional services firms on all aspects of accountancy training. I gain immense satisfaction when clients provide positive feedback about the quality of BPP’s professional qualifications and training programmes.
The ACCA qualification certainly kickstarted my career, enabling me to perform in my first job as an effective auditor. The network of members in South-East Asia has also helped to propel my career, and I continue to advocate for ACCA as the preferred qualification via BPP’s unrivalled levels of personalised teaching.
My mum, who is also an accountant, is my most significant career influence. Her advice and encouragement assured me I was making the right choice for my future and, after much research, the ACCA qualification stood out and I first obtained the CAT qualification.

While an ACCA affiliate, I took on an audit associate position at PwC. There, I worked across diverse industries and I encountered many managers and partners who gave me valuable career advice. I credit the general manager of Wolters Kluwer – where I was Singapore’s commercial team lead for software solutions – for giving me the opportunity to diversify my career into the commercial sphere, and my current line manager for continuing to believe in my capabilities.
Growing the software business for four years and leading a team of sales representatives, software consultants and customer service officers are among my proudest achievements. More recently, I’m proud to have worked with internal stakeholders to deliver a data analytics training programme for a Big Four firm based in mainland China and Hong Kong. Seeing how participants absorb content during sessions is such a motivator to continue delivering in my role.
I aspire to continue climbing the corporate ladder and growing my personal brand. With the backing of a solid professional qualification, my aspirations will be achieved. On a more personal level, growing and building a strong and happy family will always be a life driver.
Beyond numbers, laws and regulations have always piqued my interest. I think I’d have become a lawyer if I weren’t an accountant. I guess that’s the beauty of life; you never know.
